That’s right, the Laguna Beach alumna and tabloid mainstay is set to star in a remake of Revenge of the Nerds, which begins shooting in October.

Charlie’s Angels” director McG, who is also one of the geniuses behind the worst show in history, The OC, is one of the producers. Among the writers is Adam Jay Epstein, who penned Not Another Teen Movie. This is sure to be a classic in the making. Then again, any project that provides us with more Kristin Cavallari pics can only be a good thing.

Cavallari’s character, Kailey, will put the nerds through their sexual-awakening paces as she twirls them around her well-manicured finger, and she’s the best friend of the Pi Delta Pi sorority queen, played by Katie Cassidy.

Wow. If the producers could somehow get Lauren Conrad into the movie as Kristin’s chief sorority rival, we’d buy tickets in advance.

Sure, she never had a shred of talent, but she was Jessica’s little sister and cute enough at least. Now that she’s become an anorexic plastic surgery fiend, the staff members at T.H. Gossip can only shake their heads in disdain. Check out this ghastly pic we found today, not in the aforementioned CWM (which doesn’t really exist, FYI, though it would be an awesome read), but in People. What does Paris Hilton’s bed look like? Only a few thousand men have ever been lucky enough to find out… but any remaining mystery is about to be put to rest. In case you haven’t had the honor (or the lights were off when you were doing her) you can see — and own the thing!

That’s right, it’s being auctioned off, and is currently up for sale online. Opening bid: $1,500. Unfortunately (wait, check that… very fortunately), the singer and party-animal heiress isn’t part of the deal.

Paris’ scuffed up, king-size bed is being hawked, complete with a quite-used and probably very disease-ridden mattress, in an online auction.

That nasty object and dozens of other items from Hilton’s house are up for sale, such as her old pillows, couches, and lamps. Personally, we have no clue why you’d bid on something you’ve already seen — and defaced — from just about every angle. But hey, that’s just us.

The auctioneer, StarStyle.com, assures the Gossip that 10 percent of each sale goes to charity. If only Paris herself were up for sale. Then again, why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free, no?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers tied the Brazillian bombshell with seven noms for their song, “Dani California.” It will go up against the hips of Shakira, “Ain’t No Other Man” by Christina Aguilera, Madonna’s “Hung Up” and Panic! At The Disco’s “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” for video of the year.

Other categories and award battles include:

• Shakira and Aguilera are also in the running for best female video. They’ll face off against Kelly Clarkson (“Because of You”), Nelly Furtado (“Promiscuous”) and Madonna — whose “Hung Up” is also in the running for best dance video, best pop video and best choreography.
• Best male video nominations are: Nick Lachey for “What’s Left of Me,” James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful,” Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” (the new, official ballad of Heather Mills), T.I.’s “What You Know” and Busta Rhymes’s “Touch It Remix.”
• Best group video contenders are the Chili Peppers, Panic! At the Disco, the All-American Rejects (“Move Along”), Fall Out Boy (“Dance, Dance”) and Gnarls Barkley (“Crazy”).

The MTV Awards will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Aug. 31. Tune in to see performances by Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Panic! At The Disco, the Killers and rappers T.I. and Ludacris.

But it’s a bit of a letdown, since the pregnant pop princess is carrying the latest of Kevin Federline’s many babies.

The August edition of Harpers Bazaar magazine contains a revealing photo spread of Brit that conjures up images of the controversial Vanity Fair cover featuring Demi Moore, back in the day when Demi Moore was actually popular.

In the magazine, Britney the brunette is shown close-up and sprawled out on her back — with bump in plain sight. It is sort of cool, in that it’s all very natural. Raw. But at the same time it’s slightly disturbing. We aren’t gonna lie.

We’ve read reports today that some pictures have since been removed from the edition of the magazine at the request of Britney, however that has neither been confirmed or denied.

Britney confessed to being a little shocked on discovering she was pregnant again, but said it helped that her deadbeat husband was there for support.

“I was shocked because it was so soon and I was a little scared at first. Yes, I was very surprised. [Kevin] was a little shocked too. But his shock turned to excitement and he said, ‘Let’s just go for it.’”

Spears also admitted her disgust at the tabloid media for accusing her of being a bad mother.

“You would think that the editors of all these magazines have children and that they wouldn’t go there. It’s really distasteful… You look at it and think it’s absurd but the public don’t know what really goes on and you feel weird because you have to defend yourself to these ignorant people.”
